The EP10 is a light but durable PDA device designed for industrial and commercial applications. With the Windows® Embedded 6.5 operating system, the EP10 offers full phone functionality along a built-in 3.2 mega pixel color camera and optional 2D Imager scanner. The EP10 is built on the same core technology as the Omnii™ family and is one of highest performing PDA’s in its class. With the Texas Instruments AM3715 Sitara ARM microprocessor and a clock speed of 800 Mhz, combined with 256MB of SDRAM and 2GB of Flash ROM memory – the EP10 is able to run multiple applications simultaneously, quite easily.

Although the EP10 is a small, compact device, it is not lacking in features or options. Along with the built-in 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth radios, users can also select from three different WWAN radio options – UMTS, CDMA Sprint and CDMA Verizon. When you order an EP10 you also get a choice of three different keypad styles to choose from – Numeric, QWERTY and AZERTY. The keypads have a ultra-white backlight and are designed for ambidextrous on-hand operation.

Users of the EP10 enjoy the large, 3.7”, high-resolution color display with its integrated touch-screen. A nice feature of the touch-screen is that it can be operated by a passive stylus or a finger. In addition, the transflective display is sunlight readable with a backlight for low light conditions.

The EP10 is a state of the art device with smart sensors built into the unit, such as proximity and light sensors for automatic backlighting. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, digital compass and GPS to detect screen rotation and accurate data geo-tagging. A 3.2 mega pixel color camera with auto focus and dual LED flash is standard. The optional imager scanner is able to read multiple 1D and 2D barcodes making it ideal for almost any enterprise.

When ordering an EP10 you will have the option of selecting a 2400 mAh battery or a 3600 mAh battery. The larger capacity battery does add some extra weight and bulk to the device but does allow for longer operating times between charges. With the 2400 mAh battery the EP10 weights only .76 lbs (345g).

An advantage of the EP10 is that it has an 802.11a/b/g/n radio that is Cisco CCX V4 certified. The EP10 can also withstand multiple 6 foot drops.
